Welcome to Crescent City Harbor — we’re glad to have you here!

Here are some guidelines regarding checking in with the Port:

Mooring

  • Transient vessel moorage is available but limited.  Side tying to other vessels (rafting) is prohibited.  The Work Dock may be used, however it is subject to a $25.00 per night surcharge.  If both of these docks are full, transiting vessels must anchor out--make sure you do not anchor in navigation channels.  For slip assignment, contact the office during business hours.

Security
  • Security monitors VHF Channel 16 and carries cell phone number 707-954-8341.  During the evening or night time hours, they are your first point of contact.
Required Information
If you are unable to connect with Security, please come to the Harbor Office.  We will need the following      information:
  • Vessel name
  • Vessel type (fishing, motor, or sail)
  • Documentation or Registration number
  • Vessel OVERALL length
  • Owner’s name, address, and telephone number
Payment
Payment can be made by cash, check, travelers check, VISA, or MasterCard.  A fee schedule is here.  Slip rent expires at 12:00 noon.  If the office is closed, payment instructions are located on the door (exact change or check only).  There is a $10.00 charge if we have to bill you.

Fuel
Fuel is available on the north side of Citizens Dock (the pier with the large blue building on the end).  You will see the white fuel shack approximately midway along the pier with white boxes to the east of it.  The boxes are enclosed by a red barricade and contain the fuel pumps.  Tie to the pier and the fuel distributor will lower a hose to you.  There is a camel (tire) barrier to keep your boat from going under the pier; putting down bumpers will help to keep the tires from marking your boat.  The fuel distributor comes down as needed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Call them at 707-465-1776.  Response time is approximately 15 minutes.

Restrooms/Showers/Laundry
Public restrooms are located behind the office, between the tops of the B– and C-dock ramps, and at the top of the D-/E-dock ramp.  They are unlocked during the daytime.  A tenant restroom, shower, and laundry are also located behind the office.  The restroom and shower are accessible by keycard.  See Security to be let in, or come to the office during business hours to check out a keycard with a $20.00 deposit.  The laundry is available during business hours.  Come to the office to be let in.  A sewage pump out station is located at the check-in dock just in front and to the west of the office.

Dinghies
You are welcome to bring a dinghy over and tie temporarily at the Work dock or the Check-in dock while you register, shower, or run brief errands.  All we ask is that you be considerate of other boaters and leave room for other vessels to use the dock at the same time.

Staying Longer
If you would like to remain for longer than a few days, monthly, 6-month, and annual rates are available with slip rental.  We can convert any daily rates that you have paid within the last 30-days to a longer term rate upon credit approval and completion of a Berthing Agreement.  Check with the office for details.

Once again, thank you for stopping in Crescent City!  Information on local points of interest and maps are available from Security or at the office.  We hope you enjoy your time with us!
